"I have been on every diet known to mankind, and South Beach was the latest, after Atkins. Not only did I feel tired and starving and depressed on South Beach, but those high protein snacks of cheese sticks and nuts did nothing to boost my serotonin. When I go to vending machines now, I head straight for the pretzels.
