"This is such a godsend"

From one of our male readers:

When I first read your book I was around 285 lbs.  I am 6' 2", and now 230 and still losing.  The healthy way for once.  I exericse for 60-90 minutes every other day on the exercise bike.  My weight has always fluctuated big time, but by keeping my serotonin levels - level - I for the first time have been able to have balance in my diet, AND life.  My doctor recently took me off my anti-psychotic (seroquel) and lowered my anti-depressant, cymbalta, because I have been doing so well.   Thanks so much!

32 pounds down, 50 to go

We love these tips our readers share that help them stay successful on the diet. One of our readers who is a teacher writes:

I have a smoothie recipe that I have made for years I thought I'd share:

1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (watch for added sugar)

1/2 cup skim milk

1/2 frozen banana (that's what I do with all my old ones)

3-4 medium frozen strawberries or the equivalent of any other fruit-peaches, blueberries, etc)

Put in a plastic cup and blend with a stick blender.

Add a multigrain toasted english muffin with just a tiny bit of low fat butter and I guarantee you will not be hungry before lunch. It is also easy to eat in the car on the way to school which is what I did most days.
